Tutor Michael Stembridge-Montavont leads a piano workshop, building on over 20 years of courses, research and workshops devoted to the pianistic ideas and ideals of the legendary pianist Alfred Cortot.  Cortot was described as "unequalled as a Chopin player, a player of luminous intelligence and incomparably sophisticated technique, whose playing may well be the closest we’ll ever get to knowing how Chopin himself played."

Taking place for the seventh consecutive year at Burgh House, Hampstead, London NW3 1LT, a lecture at 12pm will be followed by a masterclass demonstration at 2pm.

It is a great pleasure to announce that Frédéric Aguessy has kindly agreed to give a short piano recital to close the afternoon.
